Hump Day Update (09/02/26)

Howdy, Hoosiers. The time has come for another Hump Day Update, where I tell you what I’ve been up to, keep you up‑to‑date on the campaign, and give you a glimpse of what’s planned for the immediate future.

Last week, I mentioned that things were about to pick up, and while the past several days haven’t been packed with public events, they’ve been full of behind‑the‑scenes work. Most of my time has gone toward catching up on tasks that needed attention and laying the groundwork for what’s shaping up to be the busiest stretch of the campaign. There isn’t a whole lot to report from that prep work, but it’s been necessary to make sure September and October run smoothly.

Speaking of September: The calendar is already looking extremely full. I still have a few people to reach out to, and several events are coming up fast. Tonight, I’ll be attending the Tippecanoe County Commissioners meeting, which is one of the last opportunities for residents to stand against large‑scale data centers in the county. I’m planning to be there in solidarity with the community and to continue pushing for responsible development that respects local voices.

This weekend brings the Little Italy Festival down in Clinton, IN, a long‑running tradition and one of the most vibrant cultural events in the region. I’m looking forward to spending time with folks there, enjoying the atmosphere, and continuing to meet people where they are. We’re also working to get a few additional things scheduled before the day is over, so the week ahead may grow even busier.

Until next time, District 23, have yourselves a better‑than‑great weekend. I’ll be thinking about ya.

Genuinely,
Joshua Brant
