Howdy, Hoosiers. The time has come for the return of the Hump Day Update, where I tell you what I’ve been up to, keep you up-to-date on the campaign, and give you a glimpse of what’s planned for the immediate future.
Between fundraising outreach, community conversations, and preparing for upcoming events, the campaign has been moving full speed ahead. There’ve been some unexpected twists and turns that we’ve had to adapt to, but momentum is building. I’ve spent the last several days talking with folks across the district, listening to what’s on your mind, and making sure our message stays rooted in the real challenges Hoosiers face every day.
From the recent podcast appearance to the ongoing fundraising push, I’m grateful for every person who’s reached out, shared their story, or offered support. This campaign is powered by genuine people who want genuine change, and that’s what keeps me going even on the long days.
A quick look ahead: We’re still working on raising the money to hire a dedicated fundraiser, but I think we’re going to have to extend our timeframe by another week. We’ve made some good contacts over the last few days that will help us raise awareness of the campaign, and we’ll be continuing community outreach throughout the campaign. American Legion Post 492 will be hosting their August Blacktop Party this Saturday at 3PM at 4929 State Road 43 N in West Lafayette, and I’m excited to be attending that.
I’ll have more updates soon, including details on upcoming events and some behind‑the‑scenes work we’ve been doing to strengthen our outreach.
