Welcome to my new campaign website for Indiana State Senate District 23!

For those that don’t already know me, let me take a moment to tell you a bit about myself (a more detailed history can be found HERE). I’m a dad, a husband, a Marine Corps Veteran, and a true Hoosier son. With the exception of my time in service, I’ve lived here all my life. I grew up on the south side of Lafayette, went to Jeff Highschool, and after all the things I’ve seen and done, I came Back Home Again

I went back to school after serving my country; learned a little bit about business. I worked in a factory for nearly a decade; learned a little bit about engineering. I also have ADHD, which makes me a compulsive self-learner, and I’ve educated myself on a great variety of subjects. I’ve never stopped learning about leadership, though, and I simply cannot disengage with what is happening in the world today.

My campaign is not about one party over another, or even about politicians. My campaign is about fixing the broken system that both sides are subjected to, forging a path forward through the storm, and getting us through to the other side. Americans are never so divided as they are on TV, or on social media, but that doesn’t mean the danger isn’t real.

I’m starting in Indiana’s 23rd State Senate district because this is my home. Being from the Greater Lafayette Area, with its unique political structure and atmosphere, has no doubt had an effect on me as well. I have family & friends all throughout the area, and I’m raising my kids here. I even have heritage from the area that predates the settlers.

My sights are set on the corruption in our nation’s capital, though. Once I’ve shown you what I can do to make things better for all of us, here in District 23 and Indiana, I am going to Washington D.C., and I am going to shake some shit up. I will serve my country once more by taking on The Beast itself, even if I have to stand alone. Even if it kills me.

I have until June to collect enough signatures to file for ballot access. This is something the candidates in the two major parties aren’t forced to do, but I look at this, not as a problem, but a chance to get out and talk to the people all throughout my district. So, that will be the gameplan for the next few months, at least. You may see me set up outside county buildings or shopping centers trying to stay warm, and I encourage you to come and say ‘hello’ if you do.

I’m going to be hitting as many public events and gatherings for good causes as I can, as well. My Event Calendar is looking rather empty at the moment, but you’ll be able to come back and see scheduled events and appearances once things get rolling. The general election is then November 3rd of this year, which means I have just under a year to convince all of you out there in 23 of two things that I already know: I’m going to take care of you, I’m going to make things better for everyone, and I am not messing around.

Regardless of party affiliation, the corruption in DC is tearing this country apart, creating a national security risk, and putting my brothers & sisters in service at risk. I may not be everybody’s ideal candidate. I’m ‘unrefined’ and my leg shakes uncontrollably when I speak in front of a crowd. I wasn’t bred and groomed for political office. I look at what those that have been are doing to this country, though, and I’m thinking’ maybe that’s not such a bad thing. I look at what’s happening, and I can’t just sit back and do nothing any longer. The next generation shouldn’t have to inherit this mess, as well.

It’ll take more than ability, courage, and hard work to achieve these goals, though, and that’s why I cannot stress the importance of your support. Nobody who is truly serious and honest about fighting corruption can do so at the behest or obligation of the corrupt. I’m running independently so that I’m only obliged to you, but it means not having that added party support that the other candidates will have. Even if you can only help in small ways, every single effort, donation, and vote is going to be vital to our success. Let’s make things make sense again, together.
