Howdy, Hoosiers. The time has come again for yet another update on the campaign, where I tell you what I’ve been up to, keep you up-to-date on the campaign, and give you a glimpse of what’s planned for the immediate future.

Last week, I’m happy to announce that we reached our threshold for ballot access! 670 signatures have already been turned into the county for certification. As I’ve mentioned in previous updates, I do know that many of those signatures will likely be invalidated, so I still have to keep collecting. Unfortunately, the weather has not been super cooperative this week, there was a rather embarrassing moment in which I ripped the bottom out of my pants while canvassing*, and so my buffer is not as large as I would like it to be.

*I’m laughing about it now, but I have no idea how many houses I went to before I realized lol

Today and the rest of this week, I will likely only have these last few days to collect signatures, and the forecast is calling for rain most of the day on Sunday. That being said, I will be pushing hard to try to get as close to 850 as I can between now and then. Plus, with Sunday being Father’s Day, I’d like to spend the day with my kids. I will use the day to relax, recuperate, and then Monday will begin a new phase of the campaign.

Until next time, District 23, have yourselves a better-than-great weekend. I’ll be thinking about ya.

Genuinely,
Joshua Brant
